Regular Shipping Deadlines:

All orders placed before 1PM (EST) will be processed, if possible, that same day. Weekend orders and orders placed after 1PM (EST) will be shipped out the next business day.

Since temperatures vary across the country we may elect not to ship any package over a weekend to guarantee its arrival in premium condition. Therefore, we can not guarantee Monday deliveries on any order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Our normal shipping days during the warm months (holidays excluded) for overnight and priority shipments are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Overnight shipments are also sent on Thursday. This schedule is designed so your chocolate does not sit over the weekend in a warehouse without temperature controls. We may ship on Thursday or Friday if cool temperatures allow your chocolate to be safely transported.

International and APO Boxes Shipping:

At this time, we can only ship your product to recipients located within the United States. We are unable to ship packages to international addresses. We do ship to APO addresses, or US territories with US mail at the prices listed above. Please note that these packages cannot be tracked.

Because of higher delivery charges to these destinations, we must charge an additional $10.00 to the regular shipping rate per address. Shipments may take 2-3 days longer. U.S Territories are shipped with U.S. mail parcel post.

We highly recommend shipping to an address where someone will be able to receive the package when it is delivered. Chocolate left outside your home all day may be damaged by weather that is too hot, cold, rainy or humid.

Warm Weather Shipping:

Please note that if your destination is over 74 Degrees Fahrenheit (23 Degrees Celsius), we will ship only in warm weather packageing. This consists of an insulated container and a reusable frozen gel-pack, which will keep your package cool for up to 48 hours. Warm weather packaging costs $5.00. In extreme hot weather conditions, we reserve the right to delay your shipment. In addition, during these warmer months we will only ship products Express or Priority to ensure your items arrive in the best condition possible.

Gem City Candy cannot be responsible for damage if you (or the recipient of a gift) are not present at the time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package. Also, Gem City Candy cannot be responsible for heat damage if you instruct us to ship ASAP without Warm Weather Packaging.

Return and Exchange Policy

Gem City hopes that you will not have a need to return your purchases to us or have any difficulties with your order. No return of food is accepted, under any circumstances. Gem City cannot be responsible for damage if you (or the recipient of a gift) are not present at time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package. Also Gem City cannot be responsible for heat damage, (view shipping requirements during Hot Weather above).

When returning any product to Gem City for any reason you must first obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#) from Gem City customer service. The RA# will be your tracking number of our products. Any products returned to Gem City without an RA# will be returned to sender.

Products Damaged in Shipping

All merchandises leaves our business in perfect condition. It then becomes the BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY to claim for damages with the delivering carrier.

If you receive products that were damaged during shipping we ask that you contact the shipping company.

Fulfillment Errors

If we make an error fulfilling your order, we ask that you contact our Customer Service immediately. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time at 608-356-4922.
